Studies In Philology雜志英文介紹
Studies in Philology is a long-established academic journal devoted to the study of literature and language, with a particular focus on the interrelationship and influence of English literature with works in classical, romantic and Germanic languages. The journal provides scholars with a platform for in-depth discussion and analysis of literary works in these fields, and promotes cross-cultural and epochal literary dialogue.
The journal encourages the publication of research articles that demonstrate the complex links between literature and language, including textual analysis, historical background, cultural context, author biography, genre, and literary theory. Through these studies, we aim to deepen our understanding of the rich connotation and artistic value of literary works. Special attention is given to the English literary tradition, including periods from the Middle Ages to the modern age. It shows a keen interest in the works of the Romantic period, a period of literature known for its emotional expression and individualistic character. At the same time, the journal also considers publishing articles exploring the influence of Germanic language and literature on English literature, and vice versa, exploring the influence of English literature on works in Germanic languages.
