Columbia Journal of Transnational Law is an academic journal focusing on transnational legal issues. It provides a platform for scholars, professors, practitioners and policy makers to present and discuss transnational legal issues. In particular, the journal encourages in-depth research and analysis in the areas of public international law, international organizations, national security, foreign policy law, private international law, transnational litigation, environmental law, immigration law, corporate law, arbitration, human rights, data policy, technology policy, piracy, and maritime law.

The mission of the Journal is to promote a comprehensive understanding of transnational legal issues, including: exploring the fundamental principles of international law, the interpretation and application of international treaties, and the challenges and opportunities of international law in the context of globalization. Analysis of the role and influence of the United Nations and other international and regional organizations in the formulation and implementation of international law. Studies national security law, foreign policy decision-making processes, and how they interact with international law. Focus on the modern development of cross-border civil litigation, international commercial arbitration, and private international law.
