Published continuously since 1881, Historisk tidskrift (“Historical journal”) is Sweden’s leading journal for research in history and economic history. It is a quarterly, peer-reviewed journal published by the Swedish Historical Society, a member of the International Committee of Historical Sciences.Covering the fields of history and economic history. Journals have no time, topic, discipline, or geographical limitations. All manuscripts that have passed the preliminary editorial review are evaluated by at least two external reviewers, one of whom typically comes from a non Swedish academic institution. Mainly published in Swedish, occasionally with articles in other Scandinavian languages or English. The research fields involved include history. In addition to original research, it also publishes critical articles, book reviews, debates, and notifications.
