The Journal of Financial Services Research publishes high-quality empirical and theoretical research on the demand, supply, regulation, and pricing of financial services. The definition of financial services is broad, including banking, risk management, capital markets, mutual funds, insurance, venture capital, consumer and corporate finance, as well as technologies used for the production, distribution, and regulation of these services.

Macro financial policy issues, including comparative financial systems, globalization of financial services, and the impact of these phenomena on economic growth and financial stability, are also within the scope of JFSR's interests. This journal aims to promote research, enrich the industry's understanding of the financial services industry, improve industry and product efficiency, and provide information for debate and facilitate the development of sound public policies.
