The Journal Of Psychopathology is an academic journal focused on psychopathology and behavioral assessment. The journal is dedicated to publishing research articles that advance the understanding of psychopathology and mental disorders for all ages, including abnormal or deviant behaviors related to medical conditions and trauma, as well as describing the construction of personality. The journal encourages scientific inquiry into the assessment, description, and classification of normal and abnormal behavior, exploring the physiological and psychological factors that cause, trigger, and sustain psychopathology, and theories of psychopathology and behavioral change.
The journal's coverage is broad, including research on normal personality construction and positive personal attributes, personal and environmental factors that influence behavior outcomes, and interactive models of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral resource factors that influence normal and abnormal behavior. In addition, the journal includes articles focusing on therapeutic interventions and accepts reviews, particularly meta-analytical reviews.
