Fdmp-fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing is an interdisciplinary academic journal with a focus on the interrelationship between fluid dynamics and materials processing and their application to engineering optimization. It provides a platform for researchers, engineers and academics in related fields to publish and share the latest research results. Also of interest are those manuscripts dealing with fluid/structure or fluid/material interaction mechanisms, i.e. all cases where fluid dynamics analysis plays a role in guiding the design/optimization of the system (or related components) under consideration and the selection of the desired "material". For example, stress is predicted by relevant hydrodynamic analysis, and metal alloys suitable for making aircraft wings are selected.
Journals cover a wide range of engineering subfields from nanoscale to laboratory or industrial scale, such as mechanical, thermal, chemical, biomedical, nuclear, petroleum, civil, naval, and aerospace engineering. The journal focuses specifically on the behavior of materials in the fluid state, including materials in the molten state, granular media that behave as fluids, and materials that interact with fluids.
