Ribagua Iberian American Journal of Water is an academic journal dedicated to water resource management and research in the Iberian American region. The naming of this magazine combines "Ribagua" (which may be related to a specific water body or water culture, but is used as a fictional name to fit the problem description) with the geographic and cultural region of "Iberia America", aiming to promote academic exchange and cooperation on issues related to water resources, environmental protection, sustainable development, etc. in the region and even globally.
Iberia, as a cultural identity community spanning the Atlantic, includes the Iberian Peninsula in southwestern Europe (Spain, Portugal, and Andorra) as well as numerous Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries in Latin America. This region has abundant water resources, but also faces severe challenges such as climate change, uneven distribution of water resources, and worsening pollution. Therefore, the establishment of the Ribagua Iberian American Journal of Water is of great significance for promoting research on water resource management in the region and even globally.
