Estudios de Historia Novohispana is an academic journal dedicated to the study of New Spanish history, published by the Instituto de Investigationes Hist ó rica of the National University of Mexico (Universidad Nacional Aut ó noma de M é xico). This journal has been published in the form of Open Access since 2010 and does not charge any publication fees, such as article processing fees (APCs).

This journal mainly publishes research on the history of New Spain, including studies on Mexican history, Latin American Spanish history, colonial periods, and Spanish colonial history. It accepts manuscripts in both English and Spanish and adopts a dual anonymous peer review process to ensure academic quality. In addition, the journal uses CC BY-NC, CC BY-NC-SA, or CC BY-NC-ND license agreements, and authors do not retain unlimited copyright and publishing rights after publishing their articles.
