Transgenic animal technology is the process of integrating exogenous target genes into animal chromosomes, allowing them to be integrated and expressed in vivo, thereby obtaining animals that express exogenous genes. This technology is widely used in transgenic animal breeding, gene function research, medicinal protein production, and organ transplantation. The main methods include retroviral infection, microinjection, somatic cell nuclear transfer, embryonic stem cell-mediated, and sperm mediated methods. These technologies have a wide range of applications in the field of scientific research and have had a significant impact on biological research and agricultural development.
