Fronteras De La Historia is an academic journal devoted to the colonial history of Latin America, dedicated to exploring in depth the various themes of this important historical period. The journal covers the broad historical context of Latin America from European colonial conquest to the pre-independence period, publishing research articles on the social, economic, political, and cultural aspects of the colonies. In particular, it explores not only the influence of colonial powers such as Spain and Portugal, but also the experiences and interactions of indigenous and African slave groups within the colonies.

Frontiers of History also regularly publishes special issues on special topics to focus on a particular area or event, such as the evolution of the colonial economy, the blending of religion and culture, and the impact of colonial rule on the social fabric of indigenous peoples.
