Biblos Revista da Faculdade de Letras da University de Coimbra is an interdisciplinary academic journal owned by the Faculty of Literature of the University of Coimbra and published by the University Press of Coimbra. The journal was founded in 1925 under the initial name "Bulletin of the Library of the Faculty of Literature at the University of Coimbra" and was renamed to its current name in 1927. Biblos is dedicated to the fields of humanities and social sciences, aiming to promote the development of art and culture, and is aimed at a broad readership interested in humanities.
The content of the journal covers multiple languages, including Portuguese, English, French, Spanish, Italian, and German, reflecting its international perspective and diversity. Biblos is published once a year, using thematic content and scientific peer review system, and has been published in an open access format since 2015, following the CC BY license agreement. The authors reserve unlimited copyright and publishing rights.
