The International Journal Of Work-integrated Learning focuses ona variety of topics that combine education with practical work experience. It covers not only specific aspects of education, but also diverse areas such as social sciences, business fields, career guidance, and career development. The journal focuses specifically on how to improve the connection between education and professional practice through internships, work placements, work-based learning (WBL) and cooperative education. Internships and work placements provide students with valuable practical experience to help them apply their theoretical knowledge to practical work.
Work-based learning (WBL) emphasizes the enhancement of students' learning experience through real-world work situations, while work integrated learning and cooperative education enhance students' overall competence and professional literacy by combining work experience with classroom learning.
