As an academic journal In the field of Social Work, Smith College Studies In Social Work carries the mission of promoting the development of social work theory and practice. It provides an important platform for social workers, academics, policy makers and students around the world to exchange ideas, share experiences and discuss issues. It also focuses on the role of social work in addressing contemporary social issues such as poverty, health inequalities, domestic violence, child welfare and care for the elderly. The journal encourages the use of a variety of research methods, including qualitative research, quantitative research, mixed methods research, etc., to fully understand the complexity and challenge of social work.
The journal covers a wide range of topics including, but not limited to, research on social work interventions, social welfare policy analysis, innovative approaches to social work education, multicultural social work practices, and professional ethics in social work. Through the publication of high quality research papers, case studies, review articles and theoretical discussions, it promotes the deepening of social work knowledge and the improvement of professional practice.
