Trabajo Social is an in-depth study of social history, social conditions, and the causes and solutions of social problems. Its core lies in improving social welfare and promoting social justice through systematic research and practice. Social work covers areas such as family, community, mental health, education, etc., with the goal of improving the quality of life of individuals and groups, and addressing social issues such as poverty, domestic violence and mental health issues.
The historical background and conditions of social work affect its development direction. For example, social changes brought about by industrialization and urbanization have led to increased demand for social welfare systems. Social workers must not only understand these historical contexts, but also have a deep understanding of the challenges of modern society, including economic inequality, social exclusion, and human rights issues.
