Blood Science, published quarterly since 2019, is a scholarly journal co-hosted by the Blood Disease Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (Institute of Hematology, CAMS) and the Chinese Medical Association, with the support of the Chinese Association of Blood Physiological Science (CABS). The journal is dedicated to becoming an authoritative and influential open-access English academic platform in the field of hematology both domestically and internationally.The journal covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to hematopoietic cell biology, molecular biology, physiology, pathophysiology, and other basic research areas, as well as clinical translational research and practical applications, such as the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of blood diseases. It places special emphasis on the combination of scientific rigor, innovation, and practicality, encouraging the publication of research with profound scientific significance and potential for clinical application.

Furthermore, Blood Science pays particular attention to the intersection and innovative application of stem cell technology and regenerative medicine in the field of hematology, aiming to promote scientific development and advancement in clinical practice.
