Nature and Culture (NC) is an international forum for scholars and practitioners to introduce, discuss, and evaluate key issues and themes related to the historical and contemporary relationship between society, civilization, empires, regions, and nation states and nature. The magazine provides a thorough exposition of theory, methodology, criticism, and specific observations, forming the foundation of this discussion. The mission of a journal is to go beyond specialized disciplinary fields and mindsets, towards a broader synthesis that includes time, space, and structure, in order to understand the relationship between nature and culture. The magazine also provides a channel for us to identify knowledge gaps in our understanding of this relationship.
