Narrative is an academic journal dedicated to the field of narratology, with the core mission of publishing papers that can promote the development of narrative theory and deepen the understanding of individual narrative interpretation. This journal maintains an open attitude towards various aspects of narrative, including elements, techniques, structures, and forms of narrative, as well as how they interact with different narrative modes, historical backgrounds, and forces and limitations in different cultures.
The journal encourages in-depth exploration of the forms of narrative expression in different cultures and eras, including not only traditional literary forms such as novels, short stories, and narrative poetry, but also non fictional narratives such as history, biography, autobiography, memoirs, etc. In addition, the journal is particularly interested in interdisciplinary research, which means it welcomes papers analyzing narratives from different disciplinary perspectives such as psychology, sociology, anthropology, and cognitive science.
