Organised Sound is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to exploring the rapid development of the use of technology in music and the issues it raises. The core of the magazine is to present and discuss the application of technology to music creation, performance and theory, covering a wide range of fields from traditional music to modern multimedia art.
The journal focuses specifically on how technology affects various types of music creation and performance, including but not limited to multimedia music, performance art, sound sculpture, and electroacoustic composition. Interdisciplinary research and discussion is encouraged in fields as diverse as musicology, computer science, electrical engineering, acoustics, and psychology. This interdisciplinary approach not only promotes a deeper understanding of technological innovations in music, but also provides new perspectives and approaches to music creation and performance.
