Anthropology Southern Africa is dedicated to the advancement and promotion of anthropological research in the Southern African region. The journal is not only a platform for academic exchange, but also an important tool to support ethnographic and theoretical research. The core goal of the journal is to provide a multi-disciplinary and multi-perspective academic discussion space, encouraging scholars to explore anthropological issues from different angles and methods. By publishing high-quality research articles, the journal supports in-depth research into the social, cultural, economic and political phenomena of Southern Africa and promotes an understanding of the complexity and diversity of the region.
In particular, the journal emphasizes the importance of ethnography as a key method for understanding human social and cultural phenomena. The journal encourages scholars to go into the field and provide in-depth ethnographic descriptions and analyses by collecting and analyzing first-hand field data through long-term fieldwork and participatory observation.
