The Yearbook for Traditional Music is a refereed scholarly journal which carries essays, reviews, and reports in the area of traditional music and dance research. Since 2019 it is published on ICTMs behalf by Cambridge University Press.he Yearbook was established in 1949 as the Journal of the International Folk Music Council, and it is published in English every November by the ICTM Secretariat. All ICTM members and institutional subscribers in good standing receive a copy of the Yearbook via priority air mail. Covering research on folk music and dance. This journal is published by the International Council on Traditional Music (ICTM) with the aim of promoting academic exchange and research in the fields of traditional music and dance. The types of articles in journals include research papers, reviews, reports, etc., covering various aspects of traditional music and dance. The journal encourages interdisciplinary research methods and promotes communication and collaboration among scholars from different fields.
