Documentary Studies "is not a magazine, but a systematic exposition of documentary theory written by Nie Xinru and published by Fudan University Press in 2010. This book comprehensively and deeply explores the origin, development, genres, classification, definition, narrative, and composition of documentaries, providing rich academic resources for documentary researchers and readers interested in documentary theory.

Professor Nie Xinru, with her profound background and rich practical experience in the field of film and television, has conducted a detailed analysis and discussion on documentaries.
