The Journal of Criminology is an academic journal devoted to the field of criminology. The journal may cover criminological theory, criminal behavior analysis, crime prevention, the criminal justice system, criminal psychology, and the sociology of crime. It provides a platform for criminology researchers, legal practitioners, policy makers, and readers to discuss and communicate crime-related issues in depth.
The contents of the journal may include the discussion of the causes of crime, the analysis of crime trends, and the comparative study of criminal behavior in different social, cultural and economic contexts. In addition, the journal may publish research articles on crime prevention strategies, criminal policy evaluation, and the psychosocial characteristics of crime victims and perpetrators. The Journal of Criminology may be particularly concerned with the operation of the criminal justice system, including police work, court decisions, and the management of correctional facilities.
