The South African Journal of Higher Education (SAJHE) is an independent, fully accredited academic publication that has been published as an open access journal since 2016. This journal is published by Stellenbosch University and hosted by the South African Department of Education. It is primarily aimed at researchers and practitioners in the field of higher education, providing a publishing platform for global education research. SAJHE adopts a dual anonymous peer review system, with professional support from an international education advisory committee and consultant editors.
The purpose of SAJHE is to provide academic information on major innovations, research projects, and trends in higher education for higher education institutions and professional readers. It is interdisciplinary and covers keywords such as educational research, institutional education, and institutional policies. In addition, SAJHE is associated with the South African Association for Higher Education Research and Development (SAARDHE), which is committed to promoting connections among educators and advancing research in the field of higher education.
