Although the background setting and storyline of Opus revolve around comic creation, it actually explores larger philosophical propositions. In the work, the characters of "God" or "Creator" are metaphorically referred to as the cartoonist himself, and the comic world becomes the object of his creation and manipulation. However, Jin Min reveals an important point in his work: even "God" or the creator cannot fully control the development of the story, because the characters and plot in his works often have their own "free will", which can have a counterproductive effect on the creator's intentions, making the development of the story full of variables.
