Arquitecturas Del Sur is an academic journal dedicated to the fields of architecture and urban planning. With its unique perspective and in-depth research, it provides rich knowledge and insights for both academia and practice. Its original intention was to promote research and exchange in the fields of architecture and urban planning in South America and globally. This magazine focuses on issues related to architectural heritage, modern architecture, public space design, urban planning, and cultural identity in the southern hemisphere, particularly in Latin America, from its unique geographical and cultural perspectives.
The magazine covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to Spanish architecture, vernacular architecture, public spaces, modern architecture, memory and heritage, urban planning, architectural design, cultural heritage, cultural identity, modernity, education, identity education, regional culture, tourism, and more. These themes not only reflect the uniqueness of architecture and urban planning in South America, but also reflect academic attention from a global perspective.
