Ciencia Politica, as a discipline, deals extensively with political systems, behaviors, and theories. It covers a number of fields, including political theory, comparative politics, international relations, formal analysis, and area studies.
The Political Theory section provides an in-depth analysis of various political ideas and theoretical systems, such as liberalism, conservatism, and Marxism, and explores how these theories shape political institutions and policies. Comparative politics focuses on the political systems of different countries and regions and their operation, and through comparative analysis, understands the differences and effects of political systems. The field of international relations examines interactions between states, international organizations, and global governance mechanisms, and explores the formation of international conflict, cooperation, and foreign policy. Formal analysis uses quantitative and qualitative methods to study political phenomena in order to reveal patterns of policy making and political behavior. Regional studies focuses on the political, economic, and social conditions of specific geographic areas in order to gain insight into regional political dynamics.
