Sign Language Studies is an important academic resource for researchers, educators, and professionals in sign language linguistics and related fields. It is not only a forum for scholars in the field to publish their research, but also a key platform to advance the development of sign language linguistics, sign language education, deaf cultural studies and deaf historical research. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the linguistic structure of sign languages, the social functions of sign languages, the application of sign languages in education, and the cultural expression and identity of sign language communities.
The journal's international outlook is reflected in the fact that it encourages and publishes research from different sign language communities around the world, reflecting the diversity and richness of sign languages. The multidisciplinary focus means that it covers a wide range of topics, from linguistic theory to sociocultural practice, from historical documents to modern educational methods, providing opportunities for researchers from different backgrounds to exchange and collaborate.
