The McGill Journal of Education is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary, open access, bilingual (English and French) academic journal that aims to connect educational research, theory, policy, and practice. It widely accepts submissions from scholars and educators from around the world in different fields of education and learning. Its coverage includes formal, informal, non formal, or incidental forms of teaching and learning; Covering all stages from preschool education to adult education; Education in various social environments, including within and outside schools, as well as community/mass education.
The magazine welcomes critical discussions and debates on education issues, exploring various topics through regular and invited special issues. Recent topics include Canadian education, Quebec education, Indigenous education, evolutionary education, guidance, learning in social action, schools and courts, student engagement, youth and media, and storytelling. One of the main goals is to cross disciplinary boundaries and create a space for intellectual exchange among different audiences (academia, practitioners, and the broader public).
