The Journal Of Mining And Environment is an international peer-reviewed journal that focuses on the research field of mining and related environmental issues. The journal aims to publish original papers, review articles, technical reports and short newsletters that are attractive to mining engineers, scientists, geologists and environmental organizations alike.
The main research areas of the Journal include the environment (environmental geochemistry of mining areas, biotechnology, environmental pollution control and remediation technologies, transport and fate of pollutants in the environment, environmental issues related to mining and mineral processing activities, acid mine drainage, environmental aspects of mining operations, tailings and waste pile management, rehabilitation), mineral deposit exploration (geophysical, geochemical, geographic information) Information systems and remote sensing, economic geology, geological technology), mineral deposit mining (mining methods, blasting, transportation, ventilation, mine design and planning, rock mechanics, tunnel engineering), hydrogeology (hydrogeology of surface and underground mining, mine water, drainage and backwater) and mineral processing (general, hydrometallurgy (leaching, solvent extraction, ion exchange), flotation).
