Learning Health Systems aims to drive continuous improvement in healthcare through interdisciplinary research and scholarly dialogue. The core of such a system is to combine the knowledge and methods of different disciplines to form a dynamic learning mechanism to adapt to the constant changes in the medical environment. Through a cycle of implementation and discovery, this system not only focuses on current medical practice, but also works to identify and address potential areas of improvement, thereby driving overall quality of care delivery.
Specifically, the importance of inclusiveness was stressed. Under this framework, medical institutions encourage experts, scholars, policy makers and clinicians from different backgrounds to participate in research and practice to explore and solve complex health problems together. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, the system is able to more fully understand healthcare challenges and develop more innovative solutions.
